Biography:
Sammy Squirrel was born in the hackberry tree at the far back corner of a yard in central Austin.  One of seven brothers, Sammy was blown from his nest just after he was born.  He spent the first several weeks of his life inside a house, with the nice family who rescued him, eating milk from an eyedropper.

At 13 weeks of age, he was reunited with his brothers, but never regained his ability to live outdoors.  He brought his brothers back to the house, where they have lived ever since.

Trivia:

• Sammy once got his foot caught in an air vent for 36 hours directly over the family room, during an 80’s and 90’s music video marathon.  This is where his passion for music was ignited.  He has since recorded songs such as, “Squirrel Looks Like a Lady”, “Squirrels Just Wanna have Fun”, “Kiss the Squirrel”, and “Squirrel Crazy”.
• A major turning point in his career came in 2008, with the release of “Ice, Ice Baby” - a cover of the original masterpiece by the lyrical poet himself, Vanilla Ice.  Sammy adjusted the lyrics to make the song his own and updated it for today’s squirrel culture.  The single went triple platinum in just three weeks.  at the annual Squirrel Music Television award show, host Ryan Seasquirrel proclaimed, “Sammy’s on the scene, just in case you didn’t know it!”
• Sammy’s 6 brothers, in order, are - Lucky, Timmy, Billy, Andy, Sandy, and Little “J”.
